Fashion Show, Cake Sale and all that jazz...

Great news for our TY group, we came second in the edublog awards.. happy days! The awards were held online at 12 o' clock last night so Mrs.L was interrupted from her sleep! There was only 50 votes separating us and the winners... *sigh*.
Yesterday, i wrote about the cake sale we were holding in order to raise funds for our Mini Company, we managed to raise 123 euro! I was so proud of our team as we really worked hard and that is a lot of money.  We should be able to order our products soon, nail varnish pens.
Less than an hour ago, we had our fashion show for Home Economics. We were given the task of designing an outfit in a certain colour. We were given blue, so we decided to make a dress inspired by Cinderella. We were finished our dress making pretty early, so weren't rushing like the other groups. Helen was our model, so she walked up and down the platform and it went very well.
It's been a very successful yet busy few days of TY, I'm going to make the most of these Christmas Holidays.. Roll on!

I am in need of a new blog..

Wow, i haven't blogged in forever, simply because I've been missing IT classes, left right and centre and also been finishing projects in every IT class i get. While I'm here, I might as well fill you in on everything we've been up to. So we've been to opera. We went to see the production of 'Don Giovanni' in the Swan Cinema in Rathmines. However, it was way too long, 5 hours! I'm not going to lie, i might had a tiny little nap in the second half.... not. I fell asleep. It's a bad habit of mine. I saw the majority of the opera and it was quite good. The singers were unbelievable and it was very dramatic and professional. A good day was had overall.  We also went to the ballet, which was a lot better than i thought it would be. Ballet wouldn't be my cup of tea, but this show opened my eyes to what ballet can offer. We also had a fellow TY, Laura Smyth, performing in the show.
Apart from trips, we've also been finishing all our projects; geography, history etc. But for now, i'm finally finished! So we have a cake sale today to raise funds for our Mini Company. I spent the night baking rice krispie buns, muffins and chocolate chip cookies. Our whole group has brought in a lot of stuff so we should make a 'few bob' as they say. We're also going to raffle off a cake so we should be successfull.
